Innovative energy
Industrial biomass CHP and cogeneration systems
Gain energy independence for your company. LiPRO systems convert wood waste (chips, sawdust) into free power and heat, significantly lowering plant operating costs.
Biomass CHP systems: cost-effective on-site energy generation
The LiPRO system is a proven German wood gasification technology. The process is based on controlled pyrolysis, yielding maximum energy with minimal emissions.
For sawmills and furniture manufacturers, it’s the ideal solution: you process your own production waste and power your pellet mills with free electricity in return. It’s not just eco-friendly—it’s pure business math and real savings.
Biomass cogeneration profitability: proven ROI for your facility
255 kW
gross rated electrical output
594 kW
useful thermal output (nominal)
8000 h
guaranteed annual operating hours
Operating over 8,000 hours per year, the LiPRO HKW300 system is capable of generating vast amounts of free electricity, freeing your plant from market energy price hikes.
By burning around 550 tons of your own wood chip waste annually, the investment pays off very quickly. The module generates 85 kW gross rated electrical output and 198 kW useful thermal output—concrete numbers that directly boost your production profitability.
Biomass energy: synergy with Comerc production lines and closed-loop efficiency
Maximum efficiency, total feedstock utilization, and high-yield energy recovery
Combining three units into a cascade system guarantees maximum system efficiency. Investing in a triple cogeneration setup allows for complete technological optimization of your plant. A single LiPRO CFD dryer has a capacity that perfectly and continuously feeds up to three gasification modules. Choosing a cascade configuration completely eliminates the problem of unutilized dried raw material surpluses, closing the production loop at the highest possible level of profitability.
The entire concept is built on full self-sufficiency. The LiPRO system effectively turns wood chips into two powerful energy streams that fuel your production and heating infrastructure, drastically reducing the overall company’s operational costs (OPEX).
Smart distribution of generated energy
Electrical Energy (255 kW gross → 240 kW net at your disposal)
Three cogeneration units operating in parallel generate a total of 255 kW of electricity. The total internal power consumption of the entire system (powering three control cabinets, automatic feeders, pumps, and the CFD dryer infrastructure) is only 15 kW. The remaining 240 kW of net electrical power goes directly to your plant:
- approx. 231 kW is directed to power the energy-intensive equipment of the Comerc pelletizing line (easily covering, among others, the needs of a 75 kW pellet mill),
- approx. 9 kW powers the general facility grid (such as lighting or auxiliary systems).
Thermal Energy (594 kW total thermal output)
While generating electricity, the triple system produces a huge amount of free heat in the form of hot water at temperatures close to 100°C. The total thermal output reaches as much as 594 kW and is distributed in the most economical way:
- 198 kW is fed back into the integrated LiPRO CFD dryer, guaranteeing completely cost-free, uninterrupted operation while preparing the raw material,
- a massive 396 kW of surplus heat is routed outside the system—allowing you to heat production halls, warehouses, and offices for free, or efficiently use the heat in other technological processes.
Closed-loop cascade process step by step:
- Feedstock Loading & Logistics
Wet wood chips enter the LiPRO CFD floor dryer. The dryer’s capacity is precisely sized to continuously meet 100% of the demand of all three reactors. - Drying & Separation
Utilizing 198 kW of free waste heat from the first unit, the dryer reduces biomass moisture content below 10% and automatically screens out unnecessary dust. - Smart Distribution
A fully automated screw conveyor system precisely splits the dry, clean raw material and evenly feeds it into three independent gasification modules. - Biomass Gasification
Three advanced HKW300 reactors convert the dry wood chips into crystal-clear syngas in parallel. - Power Generation (CHP Cascade)
The gas fuels three cogeneration unit engines, producing a total of 255 kW of electricity and 594 kW of heat. - Full Cost Loop Closure
The system consumes 15 kW for its own parasitic load, supplies 231 kW to, for instance, Comerc machinery, and delivers 9 kW to the factory grid. Meanwhile, the massive 396 kW stream of free heat can be utilized in various ways, such as heating your infrastructure—turning your plant into an energy-independent production hub.
Industrial biomass CHP plants: frequently asked questions
What moisture content is required for the CHP feedstock?
The feedstock must be dry for the process to run at maximum efficiency. That is why we recommend integrating the system with our LiPRO CFD continuous dryer, which perfectly prepares the raw material and optimizes the use of heat from cogeneration.
Do you assist with environmental permitting and compliance?
Yes, our qualified team of engineers and specialists offers comprehensive technical consulting and support at every stage of the investment. This also includes assistance with adapting the technology to local legal requirements and obtaining the necessary permits.
How does the system handle flue gas emissions and air quality standards?
The technology guarantees trace levels of harmful substances in the ash. The waste generated during the process is virtually free of toxic polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), making it significantly easier to maintain strict environmental standards and pursue your ESG policy.
