Humidity stabilization systems

A moisture stabilization system is a system used in modern pellet and briquette production lines, which allows for precise control of the moisture level of the input material. With proper calibration, this system guarantees optimal output parameters of the product, such as uniformity of shape and dimensions, mechanical strength, or energy density.

How do humidity stabilization systems work?

Raw material moisture stabilization systems are of key importance for achieving high-quality biofuel, therefore they are essential elements of pellet and briquette production lines. The proper moisture level affects the granulation process, the heating value, and the mechanical properties of the product. Too low moisture can result in weak fuel cohesion, which in turn leads to increased energy consumption during the granulation process. On the other hand, too high can cause a reduction in its heating value or the generation of a larger amount of ash.

The moisture management begins right at the initial raw material drying phase. As it passes through the subsequent stages of production, the moisture stabilization system designed by us monitors changes in the moisture level thanks to the use of sensors and controllers.

This data is then processed by advanced control systems, which enable the precise adjustment of many process parameters to current needs. These variables include:

  • temperature,
  • exposure time,
  • raw material flow speed.

In case of detecting a deviation from optimal values, the system automatically introduces corrections, e.g. by changing the settings of drying or water dosing devices. An important role in the moisture stabilization system is also played by raw material conditioning technologies, such as adding binding agents. Thanks to the application of such solutions, it is possible to obtain a homogeneous fuel mass and optimal quality parameters of the product, therefore we invite you to contact us and use our offer.
